Angels on the Move Programs
AOTM Scholarship Angels on the Move sponsors an annual scholarship. Previously winners came from the Long Beach City College Upward Bound Program. However, going forward, the scholarship will be open to any person, of any age, for any academic endeavor. The annual scholarship is awarded based on academic achievement as well as extracurricular activities and passion for life. Be sure to sign up for our email list and get notified when applications become available. |
AOTM Toy Drive Angels on the Move has historically held an annual holiday gift campaign. Toys, clothes and necessities are provided to children in the community. Angels on the Move organizes local families each year who work together to gather gifts which are then donated to children in need. The holidays are often difficult for underprivileged families and can be especially difficult for the children of those families. Angels on the Move provides a spot of joy and happiness during the holidays. Past recipients of our toy drive campaign include The Priority Center, Minnie Street Family Resource Center, Newport Mesa Family Resource Center, Orangewood Children's Home, Laura's House and Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. If you have any recommendations for donation locations please let us know! If you are interested in getting on our list to receive toy donations, please contact us around Thanksgiving with the following information: Name, phone number, email, age and gender of kids, and how you heard about us. |

The 2022 scholarship winner was Hector Martinez! Hector is from Monterrey, Mexico. He is an outstanding student who has conducted medial research on DeAlta, an app he developed to help enhance patient-physician communication to prevent drug resistant Tuberculosis.
His list of achievements is too long to list. But, some of the most notable include 1st place at ExpoCiencias Nuevo León, the Harvard Book Prize Scholarship, and Immerse Education Full Bursary Recipient. There is no doubt this outstanding student will continue to make leaps and bounds in the field of biomedical research. Hector has already accomplished so much as a high school student. We can't wait to see what this Angel will accomplish in the years to come! The Scholarship Program has been put on hold as we review how to best serve those interested in furthering their education. Please reach out to us in the Spring for additional information. |

In 2023 we had a great turnout for our annual 'toyraiser.' We collected over 600 toys to help various families across Orange County. We donated to individual families and also helped to support families through Newport Mesa Family Resource Center and Minnie Street Family Resource Center. Thank you to our amazing donors who make all of this possible!
If you are interested in donating for our 2024 toy drive, or if you are interested in being put on the list to receive toys, please reach out via email. |
